In this chapter, the content just continue the last chapter. Mongrel and the other horse, Sage-Brush, talk about the bull-fight. Mongrel think that man is brutal and treat dumb animals that way when they are not doing any harm. But Sage-Brush explain that man is not always like that. They are doing this in order to religion.  Some moments later, Mongrel ask Sage-Brush  that do they go to heaven and dwell with man when they die? Sage- Brush say no.

 I agree with Mongrel and  think that sport is a little brutal. Even though  I want to see this activity.

In this chapter, Antonio talk to Thorndike about grand sport which is the grandest in the world. He ever seen it and the image is still vivid to him. Twelve thousand people in one circling mass and those people are from all over the world.  Before the game begin, it show some activitites. Then, the bull gate open and make a rush with murder in his eye, but a picador meets him with a spear-thrust in the shoulder.  The picador will skip out of danger and hisses for the bull. After finishing all the sports, the bull will be killed because he is not and longer useful. This is very big game and let eneryone happy. After listening Antonio’s describing, Thorndike say he want to see the bull-fight before he die.

After I reading this chapter, I am very confused. Why the author jump to describing the bull -fight? But the only thing I can sure is the activity is very interesting and is attractive to me. I hope I have a  chance to see this sport one day.

In chapter 10,  General Alison and Docras are talking about Cathy because of her ‘ arm dangling and many animals are accompany with her.  Although she is in the bed, she still can receive report all the time from her officers and acting upon them, and giving orders. The same situatiom as she is well, but she have to get surgon. Unfortunately, the surgon can not have this situation. When the doctor told Cathy that she can not do that, she was outraged and indignant. Moreover, the doctor do not realize her because she is very happy when she get along with these animals. If she can not get along with animals,  it will hurt more. Therefore she still send message to BB and  to all animals. On ther other hand,  Docras and General Alison believe animals can talk each other. They discover it from Shekels. They think Shekels is listening what are they talking about. And then whisper around together between animals.

Next, they are talking about the doctor is impolite to Cathy. When the doctor come, he do not salute. Althogh he is impolite, Cathy still polite to him and do not want to hurt his feelings. When General Alison heard about this new, he want to discipline him but that is not cathy’s desire. Docras think She just hope General Alison can speak to this doctor. So, this is one of Docras’ errands. The other one is to let General Alison  not angry to these soldiers because they are surround her room. If he do not mind, he can come in the back way. Finally, Cathy told what she really want to General Alison. One is to  to preside a court-martial for her. and shake hands with Soldier Boy.

I think that Cathy is very kind Children. Althouth the docor is impolite to her, she still care about his feeling. In order not to hurt him,  she call General Alison to speak to him.

     In chapter 8, it is a very short conversation between Buffalo Bill and General Alison. They are talking about bounding to Fort Clayton and just a start for Chapter 9. General Alison, Buffalo Bill and Thorndike will go that place. This Chapter is a beginning of scout for Chapter 9.

     In Chapter 9, the Soldier Boy told Shekels which refer to in Chapter 7 about the process of the scout. Soldier Boy say that they have the eseort right and put the Rangers in the Fort Clayton. Then he go back home. But he and Cathy heared that the army met bad situation and six men of Company B are gone from Jimmy Slade which is a drummer-boy. When Cathy heared the news, she is very hurry and call soldier boy to save them. In the way of going to Clayton, they met wolves and solider boy try to protect her. She is also bravery and blew the bugle to frighten them away. But these wolves are too hungry and go back. One hour later, the child sleep but the solider boy still fight them. Finally, these wolves went away and left them. At that day, soldier boy can not sleep until Buffalo Bill come. When Cathy saw Buffalo Bill,  she gave a little cry of preasure. On the other hand, Cathy said that she fell off and her arm dangling in the way of saving them. And told him Solider boy protect her from many wolves. Buffalo Bill said  that solider boy is a great horse and gave the horse to her. Therefore, solider boy is Cathy’ horse. In  the end of the tale, Buffalo Bill called that Cathy blew the bungle and took the march for home. Sketel said that she is a reptile as a compliment.

     From this chapter, you can see that Cathy still is a child and do not know how to do and cry when she met some situation. But she is so bravery. when she broke her arms, she did not cry.  She is a very bravery child.

      In Chapter 6, the content refer to how to define reptile and the last paragraphy refer to Shekels which know about private thing. Therefore, this chapter continue to the last chapter and the Soldier Boy chat with Shekels about the Mexican plug. On the other hand, they talk about what is reptile.  Soldier Boy say that reptile is a plantigrade circumflex vertebrate bacterium that has not any wings and is uncertain. They are proud of that. Moreover, Mongrel heard that someone want to steal their horses and BB have to sharp lookout. But BB is a smart person, he did not worry about it. 

This is just a very short conversation between Solider Boy and Shekels.

     In chapter 6, the content went back to this hores.  The horse, Soldier Boy, met the other animails and chatted with him, Mexican plug.  He is a kind of horse and no family. The Mexican plug is stolen by Hank Butters and Blake Haskines. He got many names after stolen by someone. Although he is not eduacated, he still know a few other things, such as, he can distingush oats from shoe-pegs. When he know that he chat with the renowed horse, Soldier Boy, he is very happy. Soldier Boy talk about his life in this military. In the beginning, he talk about Cathy and think that she taught him many things that he did not know before. Cathy is a smart and independent children. One day, it has grand race and Buffalo Bill hope that Cathy can win the race because he taught her to ride. Therefore, he want  Cathy to ride Solider Boy but she refuted him because she think that it is unfair. Finally, she got the bugle by herself. She sits on his back with her bugle at her mouth and sounds the orders every morning.

     When I finished this chapter, I am so happy because the content went back to this horse finally. I can connect the article and title. I am so confused that when will refer to the horse again. Because the novel’ title is about horse, it still talk about this girl in proceeding chapter.  Now, I can understand the order more.

     In chapter 5, General Alison wrote a letter to Mercedes to let her know the girl, Cahy, is well  in the Seven Cavalry. Here, everyone treated her like her mother because the Seven Cavalry has never had a child of its very own befre.  They eduacated her with grave and formal military ceremnities. She can learn many things which she has never learned it before. She became a great rider because she has a great teacher, Buffalo Bill. The horse taught several ways to break her nect and how to protect it. Although the Seven Cavalry is a wild frontier, Mercedes do not worry about Cathy. As Mercedes say, Cathy let his heart younger.

     One of the people, Dorcas, think that Cathy is twins which is girl-twin and boy-twin. He agree this point completely. When she is gentle and sweet, and love dolls, that is girl-twin. In other word, when she loves boy-plays, and drums and fiftes and soldiering, and rough-riding, that is boy-twin. Especially when she has a bad mood, her eyes look like a boy. This chapter took some examples to proof that she is not only one child.  Moreover, she got her finger mashed open two weeks ago. Even though her face become pale with the pain, she did not said any word. She is a pretty bravery girl. On the other hand, General Alison can not refute her when she asks him to do something. She makes him to do anything she wants to . He already psomised Cathy to take her to Mercedes for along visit when the War Office retires him.

     When I just finished this chapter, I think that Cathy is a lucky girl. Although she is a orphan, she is cared by everyone. She is not like other orphans. In the real society, there are many orphans who are lack of care. It is very sympathy.

     In this chaper, this orphan, cathy, wrote a letter to her aunty. She tried to tell her aunty how well is she in this environment.  There are many beautiful plain and animals surrounded by her. She liked here and think that it is a paradise. She followed the life habits of these soldiers. Such as, when she heard the bugles, she and every soldier are up and out in a minute. When she just came here, Buffalo Bill took her to White Cloud’. Here, she saw the life of Indian,  learned a lot of words of the language and learned to shoot well. She made a good time in getting along with these Indians in her life.  Moreover, Buffalo Bill taught her to ride and practises her every day. When she did well, he will let her to ride Soldier Boy which is the charmingest horse and has a real star in its forehead. Now she know many things about soliders and horse.

     After finishing this chapter, I think that cathy is a sweety and lovely girl. She remebered to write a letter to her aunty and told her about her wonderful life here. On ther other hand, her description is attracted  me and I can image how beautiful this place is. I put myself in that environment when I read this chapter. It made me relax and image I  live that kind of environment and ride a horse one day. Wo, it is so wonderful.

     In chapter 3,  the story still turn around this girl. General Alison have already got along with this girl for a few days. He wrote a letter which describe her life and manner in the military  to his mother. She is full of energy, interest in everyone and everything and  did what the Indians were never able to do. Because she is coming to the military, everyone is so happy and nobody can calculate days. Just in forty-eight hours, she got the Indian’ encampment.

     I went back to chapter 2 to see the content. I see his brother guess right. This girl let General Alison more young. On the other hand, General Alison think that he lose his solemnity, his gravity, his poise and his dignity because of this girl. If he stay with her, it is so difficult to finish his job. But I think that General Alison is as happy as can be.

     I finished the chapter 3, I think that I like this girl who is the role in this story. She is so young and full of energy. I like it.  The older the people is, the less energy the people has. This is a general situation but  I think that having a happy mind can let life more wonderful. We should like this girl.

     In chapter 1, the horse refer to a poor orphan child is on her way from France. Her father was General Alison’s brother who is commandant in Seventh Cavalry. Her parents died some months ago and General Alison received a letter from her brother-in-law. He wanted to tell General Alison more about this girl.

     She is very beautiful and has her mother’s charm, grace, good heart and sence of justice. Moreover, she has her father’s vivacity cheerfulness, pluck and spirit of enterprise.She can speak English because her father was her English teacher and Spanish because her mother taught her. She is more mature than other children who are the same age in the ordinary child-studies. But she is not promtness and initiative.  Her intensions are right but sometimes she did the wrong judgment. The article take a example about her bad judgment. She wanted to protect a little ants but killed it because she did the wrong thing. His brother think that the girl can make General Alison’s heart more young.

     When I just finished the chapter 1, I am very confused. I am not really know what the author want to express.  I am the same feeling with professor. I thought that this article may be a story about animals. After finishing chapter 2, I think that the content is more clear, I guess that the author will tell me more about the horse and this girl.
